Teaching Philosophy

Ever since I was a little child I have wanted to be a teacher. Both of my parents, two of my grandparents and most of my aunts and uncles are teachers. I never thought of another profession. At first I wanted to be a Family and Consumer Science teacher like my mom. When I reach fifth grade I developed a deep love for history. It was then that I decided I wanted to be a high school history teacher. I did everything to pursue this career until I was a sophomore in college. It was then that I realized that I did not get along well with high school students and I didn't want to be stuck teaching them the rest of my life. I had always loved working and playing with young children so I decided to switch to Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I now want to teach either Kindergarten or First Grade.
